This Report focuses on the social action activities of Africa Mission United Kingdom, Region 1 (AMUK1) Chapter for 2023 period. The objective was to give hope, joy and laughter to 420 families in Congo during the Christmas and New year.

As part of our efforts towards achieving the dream and vision of our Mother-In-Israel, Pastor Mrs. Folu Adeboye (Mummy G.O) for Africa Mission Global, we are working together with the pastors in Congo to assist the Chapter in identifying the specific areas of need. The projects are being funded from donations received from donors within the chapter.

Testimonials

“As for us in the Church Headquarters. It was a great event that touched the lives of people both in Church and the community. The communities around saw for the first Time a Church in their area giving food to the less privileged. Some people who were not members decided to join the Church, and eventually gave their life to Jesus.” Pastor Ghislain Yampompo, Country Coordinator, Congo.

CHALLENGES

The chapter needs additional funding to enable us to support all the 50 parishes in the country. But due to financial constraints, the chapter was only able to reach out to 15 parishes, including surrounding villages.

PROJECTS FOR 2024

 For Congo:

1.     Clothing for Brethren: As a matter of priority, the chapter is currently planning to send clothing to the brethren and communities where RCCG parishes are located.

2.     Support for War-displaced People: The Chapter aims to provide short-term support to the people who have been displaced in the east of Congo as a result civil war. The Chapter aim to provide food and clothing for those in dire need.

3.     Provision of Portable Water in Rural Areas: However, we also have medium-term plan with a maximum of 3-6 month turn-arounds. Thus, AMUK1 is planning with the country coordinator on providing portable water in rural areas where RCCG parish are located by digging wells and boreholes.
